How will consumers shop this holiday season? – More than 2,000 American holiday shoppers were surveyed about their behaviour during the 2016 season. You can read all of the results in the NRF’s 2017 Holiday Planning Playbook but here are 3 noteworthy ones:
- 1/3 of holiday shoppers purchase gifts in October or earlier; 2/3 of shoppers waited until November to start purchasing them.
- 63 % noted they’d like to use online wish lists to assist with gift purchasing.
- 75 % checked return policies before making a purchase.
