In 2017, statista found that retail e-commerce in Canada amounted to 36.63 billion US dollars and was projected to grow to 53.7 billion by 2022. The most popular online retailers in Canada include Amazon, Wal-Mart, Dell, Staples, Costco, and Best Buy.

Furthermore, Hootesuite’s whitepaper Digital in 2018 clearly shows that almost every category, from beauty products to video games, is projected to experience significant online growth in the next few years.
